Extension to a Grade II Listed Lodge

Two storey extension to a Grade II Listed lodge in Hertford area

The works consisted of a facing brick and reconstituted stone extension. Handmade imperial bricks were used with glazed headers laid to diaper pattern to match the existing building. A chimney was constructed using special plinth stretcher and return bricks incorporating a reconstituted stone fireplace.

Oak patio doors were installed leading to a raised patio including facing brick piers, metal balustrades and reconstituted stone cappings sympathetic to the original lodge.

Mock Tudor facing timber and rendered panels to the first floor elevations and cut and fit roof with roof tiles to match the original covering complete this extension so it is difficult to see the join!
